I just posted an article over at my Psychology Today blog (link above and below) answering a question I get asked frequently: Do we really need premarital counseling?
My resounding response is always yes!
Premarital counseling can be such a powerful, effective way to strengthen your marriage before it starts. It provides such a unique opportunity to sit down with a licensed counselor and have the important conversations you need to have before you get married. Premarital counseling can be such a sweet and important experience you share before you tie the knot.
At Memorial Heights Counseling, we offer (and LOVE to provide) premarital counseling for couples getting ready for marriage. I offer a six-session program where you and your partner will be able to learn the valuable skills you need as you begin your life together. If, during our time together, we discover that there are some deeper issues or conflict that needs to be worked out, you can easily begin traditional couples counseling at the end of the program.
If you and your partner are interested in learning more about our premarital counseling program or would like to schedule your first appointment, please send me an email or fill out the information request form here. You can find my Psychology Today article by clicking here or on the image above.
All the best,
